How Will My Brazilian Butt Lift Go?
A Brazilian butt lift is performed with general anesthesia. It begins with collecting fat cells in a donor area using liposuction and a very small incision. Then, the fat is prepared and injected carefully into the butt to create a more pronounced, rounded shape. Once complete, both your butt and your donor areas will be made ready for recovery.
What to Expect After a Brazilian Butt Lift
After your Brazilian butt lift, you can expect some swelling, discomfort, and tightness in your treatment areas. You’ll be instructed to wear a compression garment over your donor area to aid blood flow and help the skin adhere to the new contours. Additionally, you’ll need to avoid sitting directly on your butt for the first few weeks of recovery while your transferred fat cells establish a new blood supply. Keep in mind that not all cells will survive the transfer process, so your results may diminish by a small percentage. You can manage discomfort and swelling with medications prescribed by Dr. Cusimano and can return to your regular level of activity within one to two months. Make sure to follow Dr. Cusimano’s instructions and get in touch with our team with any questions or concerns.
